La Veralicia is a digital illustrator and comic artist whose loose, expressive visual language is immediately recognisable. She got a degree in Design and Creative Technologies in Valencia and her work remains influenced by her academic background, with a prominent concentration on colour, line and characters development. A great deal of inspiration for La Veralicia comes from the classical art, cinema and everyday life and very much from the vintage aesthetics and Asian themes. This illustration is based on the romantic idea of love, combining both classical elements of vintage and pop art style with other modern elements such as emoticons, notifications and interfaces that are reminiscent of the most current way of interacting through the Internet and the new technologies.
